Public services are provided to citizens by a municipal, provincial or federal government. They are available to all without regards to our income or our physical and mental state.
Some of these services are health, education, transportation social services, environmental protection, courts, public security, etc.
For people living in poverty these services are essential because, without them, their level of poverty would be very much increased.
In the last number of years, there has been a constant effort by the private sector, supported by some political parties, to reduce these services or turn part of them to the private sector or outright privatize them.
We cannot allow that to happen and that is why we are committed to fight in order to preserve and improve our public services.
