The NB Common Front for Social Justice (FrontNB) is a member-driven provincial, bilingual, advocacy organization that brings together labour, community groups and concerned New Brunswickers across the province to fight for the interests of low-income workers and people in poverty. We do this through lobbying, mobilization, media interventions, and education on issues like social assistance and employment standards.
Role of the Provincial Coordinator
The Provincial Coordinator’s role serves to organize and facilitate our work through a combination of administrative, communications, and managing responsibilities. The Provincial Coordinator works closely with our volunteer leadership committees and partner organizations to realize successful advocacy campaigns, publicize our policy demands, help manage the day-to-day administrative needs of the organization, and engage in fundraising.
Examples of responsibilities include organizing and facilitating meetings, maintaining communications with members through newsletters and social media posts, organizing advocacy campaign strategies and actions, and lobbying.
Work Hours, Pay and Benefits
Up to 30 hours/week, at $20/hour. Possibility of extension of hours and wage increases based on financial capacity.
Travel costs reimbursement.
$50 monthly credit for phone or cellular costs.
Paid vacation, personal days and time in lieu available.
This position requires occasional travel and work on evenings and weekends.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Education and Experience
Some post-secondary education is preferred.
Demonstrated experience in the non-profit sector preferred.
Certificate of language proficiency preferred.
The FrontNB will consider relevant lived experience on a case-by-case basis.
